Electrolytes are metal salts that dissolve both in the body and the body's fluids by affecting blood pH and muscle function. They help to balance body fluids and regulate the volume of blood fluids.
During intense exercise, the body increases fluid loss through sweating. These fluids are important to replenish in order to avoid dehydration that will weaken the body since it will reduce blood volume and increase body temperature. When we lose fluids, depletion of basic electrolytes will be deregulated and performance will be reduced. Electrolytes quickly replenish body's hydration, increasing performance and eliminating the risk of unwanted problems during physical training.
